1. Overview
Positionerr ("we", "us", or "our") operates positionerr.com and the Positionerr trading journal application. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
2. Data We Collect
Waitlist signups: When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. This is stored in our email service provider (Resend) and used only to notify you about Positionerr access and updates.
Account & trade data: Once you have app access, we store the information you provide: account names and balances, trade records (ticker, entry/exit, P&L, notes, screenshots), and app settings. This data is associated with your user account and stored in our database (Supabase/PostgreSQL).
Authentication data: We use Supabase Auth to manage login. We store your email address and a hashed password. We do not store plaintext passwords.
Usage data: We do not currently run analytics or tracking scripts on positionerr.com.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the Positionerr service
- To send waitlist and product update emails (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To authenticate you and secure your account
- To calculate analytics and metrics shown only to you in the app
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your trade data with anyone.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following sub-processors to operate the service:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (EU/US)
- Vercel — web hosting and serverless functions
- Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and data processing terms.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your account and associated data within 30 days. Email us at hello@positionerr.com to request this.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact us at hello@positionerr.com for any such requests.
7. Cookies
The Positionerr app uses session cookies to keep you logged in. The landing page does not use tracking cookies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
